On the morning of June 6, the inauguration ceremony of "Donghua-Taiwan Joint Innovation Research Institute" was held at Songjiang Campus of Donghua University. Both sides signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement to further deepen the cooperation between the university and the enterprise.

Donghua University is characterized by textile in the development of disciplines, and the discipline of textile science and engineering continues to lead the country, and its comprehensive strength has entered the ranks of the world's first-class disciplines. The joint establishment of "Donghua-Taiwanese Joint Innovation Research Institute" will focus on the research and development of functional fiber materials, fabric technology development, new nylon fiber development, recycling technology, intelligent manufacturing technology, apparel design and processing.

The joint establishment of "Donghua-Taiwanese Joint Innovation Research Institute" will carry out interdisciplinary collaborative innovation around functional fiber material R&D, fabric technology development, new nylon fiber development, recycling and reuse technology, intelligent manufacturing technology, apparel design, and innovative research on textile chemicals (oils, pastes, dyeing auxiliaries, etc.), which is conducive to giving full play to the disciplinary and comprehensive advantages of Donghua University, as well as Taifa's R&D strategy and industry-driven role, and to promoting the comprehensive sharing and interaction of talents, technology, information and resources.

Mr. Chen Ge, vice president of the university, pointed out that this cooperation is the result of complementary advantages and strong alliance between the two sides. We believe that the cooperation between the two sides will produce a "1 +1 > 2" synergistic effect, injecting new impetus for each other's development, and opening up new paths for the progress of the industry. At the same time, we also expect that this cooperation will become a model of university-enterprise cooperation, and promote more industry-university-research projects to take root and bear fruits, especially to play a key role in serving the development of G60 Science and Innovation Corridor.

President Shen Weifeng pointed out that the signing of the framework agreement on medium- and long-term strategic cooperation in scientific research between the university and the enterprise and the formal conclusion of the university-enterprise development community was a major initiative, and he hoped that the "Tung Wah-Taiwan Joint Innovation Research Institute" would be the main platform for comprehensively organizing and implementing the action plans, so as to make the institute a "nylon material" in China and a "nylon material" in the world.
